Lyudmyla Kozlovska

President, Open Dialogue Foundation · Poland/EU

Lyudmyla Kozlovska is a Ukrainian human rights defender and President of the Open Dialogue Foundation, which she founded to defend rule of law and political prisoners across the post-Soviet space and the EU. In 2018 Poland barred her from the Schengen area in a move courts later ruled groundless, and after the foundation was cut off from banking she turned to Bitcoin as a bank of last resort. She now leads its Building True Change Coalition and uses Bitcoin to fund Ukrainian humanitarian and frontline aid, arguing that financial freedom is inseparable from human rights.
