N.G. Zhang (Nangeng Zhang) is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Canaan Inc., the company that built the world's first commercial ASIC Bitcoin mining rig. Its Avalon miners helped industrialize Bitcoin mining, and Canaan is now listed on the Nasdaq. An engineer by training, Zhang has led the company's mining hardware and semiconductor work since 2013.
