Sebastian Sonntag

Sebastian Sonntag is a technology leader, entrepreneur, and researcher with a Doctor of Engineering degree and more than two decades of experience in technology, data, and business leadership. He is one of the leaders of GPT-Lab at Tampere University, a major Nordic AI research laboratory with nearly 60 researchers. His current research focuses on what he calls the Zero Human Organization: how companies change when AI agents can increasingly run operational work autonomously, shifting the constraints on growth from human capacity toward compute. Before returning to academia, Sebastian held senior executive, entrepreneurial, and board roles in several high-technology companies, particularly in software, data, Bitcoin, and the broader crypto industry. His background spans company building, technology leadership, governance, software engineering, and applied AI.
